Body drop question! please help

I'm just about to body drop my 93 lux extra cab! I'm cutting the pinch off and am wondering how far i must body drop it so it lays flat on the ground! I've been told 2 1/2, 2 5/8 and 3 inches! but which one if any? Any help would be great and very helpful! thanks guys

put a level on the bottom side of the frame and massure the distance between it and the rockers

exactly why do people ask this?? My answer is: however much it takes.
Ive bodydropped 6 trucks and cant tell you how much on any of them.

cut and weld no 2 trucks wil lbe the same

Just play it safe and do 8 inches. LOL
I put a 1x1 square tubing under the frame with some clamps and just measure up on each side of the truck. You would be suprised how many are off a little from side to side. For the crossmember, just Z the front and u should be set.
