Can new gears swap into a older 14 bolt rear? going from a 98 to a early 80s.

ohhhhhhhhh i see phil we goin there? ........... well wait and see next time u call me in the middle of the night cryin (which is 3-4 nights a week) again and see if i answer the phone ...................

not sure if the carrier is the same, if they would fit I would not reuse gear sets in different housings if you miss the setup just a little bit they will wear out in a few thousand miles. my best advice is to buy new gears but if you must reuse them make sure the setup is EXACTLY the same.
