I got a 74 chevy crew cab dually. I was going to traditional body drop it 3.5" and sfbd 3.5 to lay the doors. I was wondering with just the traditional does the steering shaft hit the control arm? What thickness of plate do you guys use to fill the gap? Anything else I'm not thinking about? New to the forum but been watchin you guys for several months. Any help would be great.

If you do it anything over 4" traditional or stock floor, the shaft will hit the control arm. Mine is stock floored 4" and I had to modify my steering shaft.

Well go ahead and take a picture of your shaft now, for everyone to see. I'm sure huskerdually wants to see it. I'm sure some others want to see it. So just take a picture of your shaft, so everyone can compare their shaft to yours. Mine has been shortened allot, i swear!
