new member here! time to upgrade

I have a 1978 b1600 with a 2ltr ma Motor and box. Also I think a hilux diff. What kind off v8 will bolt up to this box. Also would need to change brakes in the front aswell? What kind of modification will i need to do?

I put GM V-6 4.3 in '90 model extended cab, power steering pump is right there by the steering box (which you should be able to change yours out to power steering sector?), changed to a flex fan and used original radiator. You would probably need larger than your's, radiator.
I could use the original welded in engine mount pads for '78 model Chevy mounts.
Roughly 60 hpr increase (of course you will see much more!), automatic with shift kit, spunky.

The Ford V-6 has distributor in the front if you have less lengthwise clearance than I did.
