Hello! I just broke a screw in my distributor. It's the centre one in this picture:

https://www.carpartsdiscount.com/distributor/mazda~b2200.html?3594=2295

I'm relying heavily on this truck right now... I have a Haynes manual, and have searched the Internet... But can't find info on dismantling a distributor.

Should I tear it apart and try and remove the broken piece and put a new bolt there?

Is it possible to run it without that bolt for the time being until I can get a new distributor/parts?

Thanks!

Looks like a good situation to try a left-hand drill bit. Really. It may just extract it as you start drilling. Or drill out and re-tap threads.

Yea I might have to try that... It will be difficult for me to get around to buy a screw extractor though. It's the bolt in the middle of the "reluctor"... Can I drive the truck with that bolt being snapped off?

Is it actually holding anything down? Or is it a plug of some sort?
