hey i got a 90 ranger ext cab and lookin to see how shaving the drip rails went, what was involved over the door and such. thanks

I believe most trucks are about the same. You want to be careful when doing this. The roof skin and the side skin are 2 seperate pieces and when you cut the drip rails the 2 skins will seperate. The best thing to do is cut a little off and weld it, then cut a little more and then weld it, just keep that going and you should be good. Also, it is very thin, I suggest to mig it with .023 wire and use a cooling gel. My matco guy sales a cooling gel that you spray around the welding area and keeps the heat from transferring past the welding area.

yea, i have heard you have to fab some metal to fill the gap above the door, this cooling gel sounds interesting i will have to check it out
