Found a cheap replacement driveshaft because mine is looking a little rough. What does it take to replace a driveshaft? Is it as simple as raising up the truck, unbolting and bolting up the new one? Anything that will need to be replaced or removed and reinstalled on the new shaft? Never messed with a drivetrain before so I'm a total newbie

Its pretty much that easy. If you bought a complete drive shaft, then you remove old and replace with new. There will be splines on the transmission side that you'll have to line up.

you may also have a carrier bearing its a couple bolts you might as well replace it with a new one. its just a bushing but they do go bad over time

You will need a 12 pt 12mm socket for the flannel bolts, and a drain pan to catch the fluid that comes out of the trans.
