Any one ever deal with this? The wheels are about 10 years old. I recently got me some tires for them, and noticed that one wouldn't hold air. Took it back to the tire shop today, and the leak is coming from the wheel, not the tire. I've read that this is a common issue with some GM and Ford wheels, and there is a way that the dealerships deal with this, it's caused from porosity in the aluminum.
I hope some one has some first hand experience with this!

hey you can try green slime sealant for bike tires. If you take it to a tire shop they will not fix it because of liability. I put the sealant in one of my trucks tires it sealed the leak. my leak was more toward the center of the wheel though. How i put the sealant in the tire was have the valve stem on 6 o clock position. After putting a little sealant in, I drove around the block at about 25 mph so that the sealant could coat the inside of the wheell where the leak was at. I did this a couple of times to get enough sealant in tire to coat and seal. I checked the tire after about 50 or so miles and it was not low on pressure any more the sealant did the trick. I hope this makes sense. I hope this will help you. good luck
