Hey all,

Ive been in the minitrucking and modifying scene in my area (southern Ontario) for prolly 7-8 years now, and met some great people and worked on some cool projects along the way. Im a certified fabricator by day, and like hanging out in the shop building up frames and doin suspension work at nights. My younger bro just got married and got his own place and moved out. Soo....

Im considering selling my house, packing away my stuff, loading up the truck and hitting the road with the dog for a super-extended road trip. Im thinking about taking the summer/fall off and sort of "backpacking" around through Canada and the US, checking out shows, shops, clubs, etc. I guess the idea would be to help out where ever I could in exchange for lodging and a bit of gas money. I think it would be awesome to meet a lot of similar minde people and just see how eveybody does their thing.

Good idea? Bad idea? Any comments, suggestions, or witty remarks are appreciated!

Edit: I realized I should prolly throw up some pics of my work...

My 92 F150- SFBD on full custom frame, using custom built IFS and Dodge spindles to eliminate Ibeams, parallel 4-link and watts link in the rear, one off fuel cell, 7.3 liter IDI swapped, turboed and intercooled.

My 92 mazda B2200- SFBD on full custom frame, sealed to use as a tank, IFS using Grand Marquis splindles to eliminate 6-bolt, custom IRS using 3rd member and hubs from a lincoln MKVIII, redrilled to match 5x114.3 of the front, set up to camber evenly with the front. Engine-4.6 32v and tranny-4 speed electronic out of the Lincoln as well, using factory wiring and computer. Powdered candy blue.

My brother Robs 77 International- Full custom frame, sealed to use as a tank, custom front solid drop axle, power rack and pinion steering, 3-linked front and rear, 7.3 IDI swapped, turboed and intercooled.

Robs 97 Cavalier Z24- Front suspension narrowed 5/8 of an inch per side, Alero spindles, Custom IRS, laid over 22x10.5s and 20x8.5s, 4.6l Northstar swapped, 5speed tranny, running standalone. Sadly, this car has been parted... My friend Jers Nissan- Using the original back half, we removed the bag over axle setup, then redid it as a long-arm 3link, with a bellcrank setup. It gets over 30 inches of lift, and lays rocker on 22s. Custom brushed stainless fuel cell. We only did the back setup.
