engine swap ?'s

i have a 98 expedition wit a 5.4 motor...i need to replace it so i bouight a 4.6 ....i need to no if it will b a direct fit or will i have to move stuff around..sum one told me i would have to swap the intake manifoldplease help im lost...

I don't see it working if you're just planning on dropping just the engine itself in and bolting up all the old stuff (wiring harness, intake manifold, headers, etc) but could be something that can be done. for the headache it would probably be best just to find a 5.4

motors are close to the same...you will need to a 4.6 computer or have yours flashed thouhg.
