What the author is trying to say is that with the country moving farther and farther left we are becoming more and more socialist. The author feel that Obama and the Congress are pushing us there and when we become fully socialist we will no longer have money to spend on things like "Mini Truckin" since the people under socialist control struggle just to eat and survive...... or thats my take on this rant! :)

But Obama didn't put us here, he is just not helping matters any.

It takes years for a economy to feel the results of a presidents (administrations) choices. Lets be honest, presidents for decades have been making mistakes that helped put us right where we are today. If anything we are just now feeling the Bush era. So its only likely to get worse from here.
