Working on building a custom watts link for my chassis. I wanted to run bearings for the center pivot for the arm (similar to suicide doors). What size od bearings should I run? Also what size id for the bearings?

For what SD charges for that bearing mount, its a very good deal unless you have a good machining hookup.

I have all my machining equipment plus one of my friends has his own machine shop so I am only looking at the price of steel.

Cool. Well I'm running 3/4" ID tapered trailer wheel bearings on the dually I'm doing. I will probably go with some 5/8 ID sealed bearings on the next one I do. I just went 3/4 on the dually since the whole truck is overkill. There really shouldnt be any stress on that bolt, its simply acting as a pivot.

how do you feel about bushings instead of bearings?

I've done it with bushings in the past, worked excellent on a daily driver for many years.

I used a delrin bushing in mine and it works great so far.
