one of my 480s has gone out, checked all the electrical (fuses, grounds, wiring, etc) the other comps work fine but one just won't turn on, at all. How do I know if I need the head, connecting rod or cylinder wall rebuild kit? Or is it something else. anyone know where I can find whatever I need? Only place I can find is kplinks.com
anyone help me diagnose what needs to be replaced? thanks skyler

need to take it apart. if it wont turn on, it either A)burnt up the electrical or B) broke a piston. if when you open it up, the piston is intact, then go for the electrical backing plate. might want to order long bolts also, i found out the hard way that they have a tendency to snap off.

i had a 480 that the thermal overload protector went out and you could either bypass it or get the whole bottom piece that the power and ground and brushes are apart of i think for like 58 or something.take it apart make sure to put it back together the exact way it came apart and test contunity on both sides of the thermal overload its the round part inline of the positive
