dullay fenders on a stock fleet side bed

does any 1 know if a 89-99 dually bed the same as a fleet side bed? are they the same with out the fenders on? i have a 95 ex. cab short bed and i was thinking of doing an oldschool phantom dually.

hey man.  yeah, theyre the same bed. just make a template of the dually fender mounting holes from the bed sides with a big piece of paper, and transfer the holes over to your short bed.  oh, and trim out the wheel well arch a good bit if youre lowering the truck... the only problem i thinnk you'll have is the gas door on the driver's side will get overlapped by the the edge of the fender, but thats an easy fix.  check out this link to a single cab shortbed, 1/2 to 1-ton dually conversion. it'll give you some ideas maybe. >>>>>>  1/2 ton to swb dually conversion<<<<
