another body drop question

i have a 87 ford ranger bagged and im wanting to body drop it i have 18 rims with stock 4 banger im wondering how much to body drop iv been loking around and alot of people range between 4 1/2 and 3 iv seen more 41/2s though what should i go with and what problems am i going to run into thank you for your help

I would assume you have the radius arm relocator crossmember?  Laying frame hard?  If you do, take a straight edge on the lowest part of the frame and measure to your rockers, and BAM, thats how much you need to get it bodied.  Have fun!

also, did you look through the sticky at the top?

im sorry i dont know what you mean by sticky? and also do you have any pics of one being done that would help alot aslo maybe some pics of relocated stuff in the engine bay

that damn air box is tricky you can use a cold air intake for it and weld in your little air flow sensor into it to get rid of thar stupid thing.

get the throttle body off of a mustang or 4 cyl tbird, they have the sensor on them. thats what i did. ran a civic intake on it. sorry i thought we had a sticky'd thread uptop about bodydropping a ranger. only thing i relocated was the coil to the side of the motor. i swapped to a later model internally regulated alternator. pass side i ditched the heat/ac, and moved the wires/ starter solenoid.
