O man! This is tight! A doored rado.... Why didn't I think of that! Loving the recessed brake booster and smoothed firewall and rear cab wall. Keep it up! I wanna see!

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by theinternetkidIf you build a strong floor you should be fine without rockers, right? --------------------------------------------- in a sense yea, I'm just talking about experiences I've seen with doored vehicles. Im not saying this truck is gonna fall apart by any means since he seems to know his shit and its looking outstanding as of now.

This is badass...I like it alot. Just a word of advice...the no rockers thing is easily fixed....I used 2x2x1/8 angle iron...bent it to the contour of the backside of the rockers...under the cab. Welded it solid...then I plated the entire rocker with 3/8....I agree its a little much...but I knew I was gonna drive it alot so I wanted it bulletproof. The 3/8 goes all the way into the front fender. I then plated the front bedsides with 1/4 angle that is tied into the entire bedside....as well as the bottom of the skin and the rear bedsides are plated with 1/8....the bottom of my trusk is practically indestructable...accept the doors which I have drug through the bottom seams...they havent seperated yet but i'm sure they will...so I had some 1/8 rolled to the contour of the bottom of the doors and as soon as I get some time...ima reskin the door from the body line down with 1/8...then it should be able to hanlde bottoming out on a big dip will driving 85 2 inches off the ground...don't just cut them off and leave them...you'll regret it. Your doors wont last very long at all.....I put my cab on a rotisserie to do all the plating...made it alot easier....
