well the sky is the limit if you can afford any swap out there. but, i would go with the 7m. its one of the easier ones. stock numbers are good (190 n/a and 220ish turbo) compared to 116 in a 22re. and they can be built to make much higher with simple stuff like headwork, intake, exhaust, more boost and cams.
the 7m is out of the supra right, how much can you find them for?? that may be an option when things turn around.
the 7m came in 86.5-92 supras. non turbo and turbo. automatic and manual. the 89-92 cressidas also had the 7m, but only in a non turbo auto. those are good donor bottom ends if you want to swap to low compression pistons and a turbo top end. they had freeway gears and an auto, in a 4 door sedan. they werent typically beat like the supras were. but, they are a bit tougher to find. another thing, i heard the n/a cams give a small boost in power on the turbo motors.
