I know this is a dumb question on here but here it goes.I have a 1999 gmc 1/2 extened cab short box 2 wheel drive that is all stock right now.I'm torn between lowering it about 2-3" as it is my daily and we do get a fair amount of snow or lifting it 4-7" and doing something like a prerunner.I know that lifting it will kill some fuel mileage.

its 2wd drive, lower it a little, put some black wheels on it and a decent tire that has a little meat.

I'm down with what Russell said. Or you could leave it alone and just drive it. I love stock beaters.

being that you're in canada i'd say put a 2'' lift spring in the front to level it with the rear and a 2'' body lift and run some 33's.
that factory tires on those back in the day were compairable to a 29'' or 31'' tire if i remember correctly

Lorren I know what you mean. My Ex Cabs a 2WD aswell, and its on 20's, Im just trying to decide if I want to lower it slightly, or put a 4" lift on it, and run 35's on 20's.....Im leaning towards pre runnering it, simply because if its lowered, I'd want it bagged and BD'd, and mines a 2500, so Ive got that huge frame rails, so the only way I could BD it, would be to stock floor it......then Im into one of those never ending projects,...not a simple driver.
I vote for a small lift. It battles the weather much better.

PRE-RUNNER. Fox shocks, 36" AT on a 16x10 with bead locks and lots of damn lights. and no gate on your BOX.
