old school mirrors????

i was wonderin if any of u guys have any pics of early 90's minis with the mirrors on the a-pillars, and could tell me what was used and how they were attatched.....im seriously considerin either those or doin motorcycle billet mirrors on the pillars....any input???

id assume you mean the round and oval style. alot of that style just wrap over the edge of the door skin there and have a set screw holding them clamped on from the inside. or do you mean the stupid flex plastic armed ones? some cool suggestions for old school mirrors i have would be 60s mustang (cheap from the repro places), 77 monte carlo, VW wagons/ghias, pretty much anything from the 60s and 70s had cool skin mount mirrors. ive got a squareback VW mirror on my yota. i have an extra monte mirror ill sell ya if you want. or i can hit junkyards if you have something you're looking for.

or do u mean the ferarri style mirrors? they hung from the pillars too...or could anyways.

double mirrors hanging on the pillars! HAHA. the popular mirrors in the 90s were called baby turbo vitalina mirrors (ferrari style)

i just threw away a set about 3 monthes ago. check JC whitney. they still sell them. look in the VW JC whitney book.

oh, chopper mirrors are over-rated, expensive and you cant see shit outta them.
