Stereo Guru's....

I got this Honda from a buddy and took out this very old Pioneer CD player and put mine in. I hooked every wire up yellow to yellow, red to red, black to black, etc... you get my point. Why do I have to turn the CD player on manually still and the CD restarts from the begining every time, when every wire is hooked up properly.........

sounds like the yellow wire isn't an actual 12+ constant wire.

use a multimeter to check them out to be sure

Lol I always love hearing that I'm not the only person that thinks logically! Try switching the yellow and red wires. If its the same way my car way those too have to be switched because they are backwards from the way you think it would be!
