civic 3 inch drop

Will i run into any problems lowering a 93 civic hatch 3 inches? Will a camber kit be needed? What is the best way to get it down 3? I'm a mini trucker but my son is looking at doing a civic after he sells his eclipse. Thanks!

anything over about 1.5" will need a camber kit. There are two ways to get it lower, a spring/shock combo or a coilover system. Do it right the first time and purchase lowering sp;rings and performance shocks at one time. Putting lowering spings on stock shocks guarantees they will blow. A coilover system is the spring and shock intigrated together. You also have the ability to raise and lower the car by using a wrench tool at the top of each shock tower. Hope this helps

On my accord I had for a daily, it was lowered 3 inches with minimal scraping issues (just watch driveways, speedbumps and potholes)

I ran my Civic (a 97 hatch) with 3" of ground clearance in the back. No camber kit, didn't have any problems, and I drove with it layed out everywhere, but I also wasn't running low profiles and large rims. So long as you've got a decent sidewall on your tires you should be fine.

That was on air cylinders. I'll be re-doing the set up soon to lay the "rockers".

when i had mine i was dumped and you will need camber kit front and rear you can buy a rear kit or just use washers where it meets the body of the car and the front make sure you get the adjustable i used omni they were decent priced and worked great
