Ok I have a 99 frontier. It is basically a glorified hardbody. Anyways I am wondering what 6 lug rears are smaller to use? I just got a set of 17's that tuck but only when i sit the truck down i cant roll with the rim tucked cause it has an odd outer bead setup. It mimicks a beadlocker type setup. Anyways I dont really wanna sell and start all over unless I am doing a 5 lug conversion. So does anyone have any suggestions for a smaller rear or dimensions of diffrent models?Mazda?hardbody720mitsu?d50?the old courier?full size 6 lug rears narrowed?

Dimensions of these would be so helpful

Courier-Sundowner are narrower 6-lug.

There was a forum in the mazda section at one point in time.

measure yours then we can measure ours and let you know. i know when MT did the dessert dragger they used a regular hard body rear. and i think it bolted right up? atleast they didnt mention anything else about it.

depends on how narrow you need to go. I narrowed my hardbody rear an inch & a half, even used the stock axle shafts by shortening them. Plenty of splines on there to shorten 3/4 on each side.

I had a courier rear in mine but went back to the stock rear. I can't for the life of me remember how much shorter it was though.

jus finished up bodydropping one and went with a 5 lug conversion, used a toyta rear and the end yoke/end (the part that hooks to the pinion) off a 99 tacoma drive shaft and it worked perfect , didnt hae to extend the saht or redrill the pinion plate or anything, did alil machinig to the toyota hubs for the front and used the factory nissan bearings and seals to completee the conversion

Yeah I am not trying to do the conversion just yet.I drive this alot and need it to be road safe. Not saying a 5 lug conversion isnt safe. However I already got a set of 6 lug rims that tuck I just want it to tuck while driving without hitting the bedsides. and maybe eventually do a bodydrop on it. If I park and set it down its all good it clears but while driving thats another issue. If someone ends up wanting to buy them then i will do the 5 lug but right now i wanna stick with a 6 lug setup
