sunroof

whats the best place to buy a sunroof. pop up.. I have a sliding rag and i want to switch to a pop up sunroof... Has anyone done this? If so what all do i need?

well, i just put a pop up in my 92 yota. pretty easy. i didnt have a ragtop though. just get one thats bigger. and make sure to compensate for the curve in the corner of the pop.

I've been looking into getting a sunroof as well. If I had an ext-cab I would do a slidding top but I'm not sure on what size sunroofs they have available for my truck. I want it to be big.

i got mine from ebay awhile ago -it was like 80 bux shipped and really easy to install i think it only took about an hour. i only used a cut-off wheel,just measure a bunch of times to make sure its right!

im gettin mine done either this week or weekend. 300 bucks installed 3 stage pop up at Z-Tech in Beaumont, Texas. Lifetime warranty against leaks, a buddy of mine has one and its nice, ive always wanted one so i can even out my tan on both my arms

I put an Inalfa Spoiler Electric sunroof in my Mazda was simple as hell . Purchased it from Streetbeat . Now if you want cheaper then purchase one off Ebay they have a ton of Pop-up for 50-60 bucks

id say mine has about 4 or so positions of open. back goes to about a 3-4" opening. and i can pop the glass out all together and stuff it between the shotgun seat and the cab wall. its nice to do at a redlight. people have mixed reactions to seeing that. anyways, i spent about an hour making sure it was going to be centered, square and even all around. then i eyeballed it for preferance. also made sure it wasnt going to have the visors over the opening when they're up. i chose to remove my headliner to check for any cross braces. there arent any there. just a perimeter brace around the roof edge. center is open. i sorta trashed the headliner taking it out. ill try and get it back in after i modify it to work in there. that wont be too hard i dont think. probably just notch the bars to go into the inner sunroof ring/clamp.

also, for the pop up style, for some extra money, i know they make a style that pops up in the back, then slides back on a track above the roof. so its sorta like a big spoiler. but i like the pop out myself. little bigger would have been nice.

mine is about 16x32" at the edge of the frame outside.

and all i used was a 3" cutoff wheel to cut it. corners too. just lightly scored it about 5 times til it was through, using the bottom edge to cut, not the sides.
