i was just needing to know if there is any limit to the amount of the Z that is put on the frame.

There would be no point in z ing more than needed to lay flat because you would lose lift and it would serve no purpose.

Its not a full tube frame or anything like that but ots pretty nice for a stock frame.

When you guys are boxing and plating frames don't cut the plate end at a 90 degree angle. Use a gradual cut to help eliminate stress risers, or box the whole thing. But anywhere you have a transition it is good to make them angle or but them together like this

No 90 degree angles here. always a stress relief point..
I also plated the frame where the gap was then filled over it.. probably didnt have to but the truck was getting a 502 soon after it left my shop

The one at the back of the frame is. But I am not bashing you. Just pointing something out that isn't obvious when doing these things.

look again, its where the frame goes up toward the back of the cab.
I have also been doing front frame clip swaps since 1980. it was Camaro clips then and alot of different stuff since then. I have never ever seen any crack, break or otherwise. Not even race cars that we built back then. I understand the angle thing but when you have a large plate over another well beveled and welded piece you should have no worries.
