01 ford ranger air bag light

my air bag light on the dash lights up and blinks now. The air bag switch is on and there is nothing on the seat. does anyone know why it is doing this or how to fix it? Thanks

If nothing is on the seat the switch should be off. When I think like 90 lbs is on the seat it senses it somehow too.

did you unplug anything? if the light in the switch for the passenger side goes out, itll throw a light to. take it to the dealer. you didnt take the seats out did you?

no I did not take out the seats or unplug anything. the light just comes on sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. No that is not my last name
