hood struts for heavy hood??

My fiberglass hood is heavier than my stock hood and the hood struts won't keep the hood up. Any idea where I can get some heavy duty/stronger hood struts? I only have 1 post left this month so much thanks ahead of time.

steven will make anything you want. he just needs some measurements & weight of hood. i have used them on custom struts for my trunk lid w/ airtank.

try using some from the hatch of some sort of minivan. my wife has a pontiac montana van and the back door w/ glass is heavy as hell...

or a honda odyssey, mid 80's dodge caravan, ford explorer, etc. auto zone & schucks both have large selections...

80s ramchargers have big ass heavy 'glass rear hatchs too. they are much heavier than a hood.

or go old school and use a hood prop rod. haha.
