Does anybody foresee a problem with a switch completing a ground to activate a 1/4" ASCO valve? In other words, the valve will always have a constant 12v source, but not a constant ground. When the switch gets hit, the ground is closed and the circuit is complete and the valve opens. Thanks.
If tis only valves why not use the switch for the 12V?
Anyways, I know some people run dual valve setups. So that both sets of valves always get power when you hit the switches, but they use a ground toggle to determine which set of valves is being used. So it may work. But I am no electrical guru. I will ask at the meeting tonight if the clubs electrical guru shows up.
it's my new horn, and I hooked it to my stock horn button.
thats fine you will have no problems as long as the value is not grounding out by how you mount it to the truck.
the valve is going to be off the tank, and my test light works, so it's a go.
will it have a tapered horn on the valve? haha.
yeah it will work just fine. My valves are wired to switch the ground. My valves are mounted in my trunk so it saved on some wiring because I connected to a ground right near the switches rather than running hot wires from a power source.
Most things can be wired that way as long the mounting does not ground it as mentioned above.
