Sending unit info

Does anyone know the ohm rating on the factory sender of an 04 and up f-150? I need to do an aftermarket sender and external fuel pump, because the factory on e will not work in my new cell. Thanks

This may be a stupid question but could I check it with a standard ohm meter? Thanks
