will a car pass inspection with the srs (airbag) light on? We are putting an aftermarket steering wheel in my son's eclipse and i noticed the light on after we disconnected the airbag.... is there a fix for that?

I just unplugged that light on the back of the inst. cluster in my car. I don't know what your son drives but on my civic the bulb isn't removable, it has an LED, but that LED has it's own plug. So I unplugged it. If his car has a replaceable bulb, pull it out.

i asked the same question in a thread like this about a year ago...what works is...disconnect your battery cables from the posts, and hold them together for 10 seconds, then reconnect them to the battery. it wont do anything bad to your car, etc. it does work, and then the srs light will perminatly go off. very easy.
