man about a month ago i ran across a site that adapted a 351w directly to ur truck, they looked really heavy duty and were cheap. i didnt pay much attention to it though because i have a fullsize but ill see if i can find the company again

What are you going to do for headers on that swap? as far a size of the block, are the 302 and 351 the same size? I was told the 351 sits taller and wider, but I am not sure on that.

i cant find the link, but dont get the mounts from jamesduff.com, they set the motor up too high and if u read closely they require a 2 inch body lift to keep the motor under the stock hood. but did u consider buying front and mid engine plates? just an option.

sry to bring back the dead thread but..

i have a 92 thunderbird that came stock with a 5.0, after i blew it up i swapped in a 351w from a 95 f250. I reused the stock 5.0 mount brackets but used a hockey puck and a bolt to mate the two together. It lowered the engine about an inch and i'm able to clear the stock hood with it. I know its not the same as a ranger but may be a thought.

this is an old thread but they have alot of locals here, houma's my backyard and im from metairie, glad i joined
