I'm making a custom 4 link w/ some square tubing. I'm thinking of getting all but the square tubing from suicidedoors.com but I priced everything at $300+. does anyone know of anybody else that sells 4 link parts?

Yes, go to a steel yard to get all your steel and dont get thin steel, get .125 or .250 wall for your 2x2 bars..

Its way cheaper to just get your shit from a steel yard. After you price it i always wonder how the hell shops get away with charging everyone so much for a link kit. I made mine in about a hour. I did have a lathe though and i used round steel. Hardest part was ordering the ends and buying a left handed tap. At the time it cost me under $100 but that was four years ago steel has gone up a ton since then.

SD sells bars for $50 each. You said it cost you $100 to build 4 bars 4 years ago before steel prices went up. I'm wondering how they can sell a top notch product at $50 a bar and still make money and pay employees. haha

streetnshow.com has the cheapest price i have seen on the weld on bushing and sleeve assembly @7.99 each. but i dont know how their chipping prices are.

when you buy your steel order the entire 12 or 24 footer. dont buy cutoffs, i used to buy cutoffs until i found out it was cheaper to buy the entire length and save the rest. steel suppliers commonly charge $50 plus a cut.

If youre wanting some good quality hiems you can order them from www.racingrodends.com Thats where I ordered mine and they were very helpful, and quick to ship everything out. They arent really in the mini scene, but theyre very nice with a large selection of things to choose from.
