99 s10 brake pedal wiring

ok, just put my clutch and brake wires back together, i could'nt remember how that big white plastic thing with the wires coming out of it clipped on the brake pedal, does it matter which way is up? as long as it does'nt hit anything, i don't see how it could mess it up. am i wrong? is there a certain way it needs to be turned? right now the wires are coming out on top. Please, someone let me know if i did it right or if i need to stick my hand in the spaghetti wiring again..
