buffing a window

has anyone ever buffed scratches out of a window and what kind of polish or compound did you use

tried it all...if you can fill it with your finger nail it ain't comin out ...glass is very hard i even used buffin rouge and a flannel wheel i polish aluminum with,it barely touched it

I work at a glass shop, and unless its an expensive piece of glass we had to custom order, we dont even bother polishing.
