Would you ask him to warranty a drill bit, too?
Same thing.

And he's just a little guy to. He has to buy the tools first and if mac wont warranty it it comes out of his pocket. I'm not saying your wrong and if you think he should warranty it then good for you for taking your business elsewhere.
Was it the same brand from mac and from sears? My snap-on drill bits cost alot more than others but I don't expect them to be warrantied. I do not I think they work a lot bettter and last longer, that's why they are worth the extra money to me.

same as in cell phone when they call in and wnat a new one and dont want to pay for it, they think since they payt a monthly service that it is all inclusive to tear the phone up and then expect us to replace it at no cost or get them to sign a another contract.. just the same as if your truck breaks you not going to call the dealership and say to them to replace the truyck at no cost, if you have insurace and warranties then use them by all means.. ok i had to rant a sec cause some people are complete dumbasses when it comes to their cell phones...

Ya but cell phone companies give crappy service. They sell you a crappy phone that wont last the length of your contract if you never took it out of the box. They rape you every month on your bill and when you call in you spend 1.5 hrs on hold and then get some mush mouth fool you can't understand till you get so pissed you just hang up and take it in the ass again.

well i am well verse when i speak and i tell them how it is and break there bill down to them and then they look like the ones with egg on there face, cause 90% of the time it is the customer who went over the minutes and they try to say that they didnt make the calls... as far as phones go average life is 1-2 yrs depending on how it is taken care of, if you baby it, it may last a good while i have customers call in who have had the same phone for 5 yrs now.. 1/3 of the calls centers are outsourced to other countries due to cost to operate but we do have several here in the us , your routing depends on what buttons you push when you call in as far as setrvic goes it is never guarnteed to be 100 % it works just like a rasio in your car on a frequency and radio waves are subject to interruption just as is your car radio when you get further away from the tower it gets fuzzy same as with a cell phone.. inside a buiding and around steel structures will cause interference due to the attraction of electricity in the metal.. kinda like magnets... in a sense.. and sometime a tower just needs to be adjusted to make if work properly, so most of the time it is not the cell company it is good old fashion mother nature the phones depediing on which provider you have are tuned to a certain frequency and when the signal gets weak you loose the phone dont have the ability to fine tune when you get further away you either have it or you dont, but with the abililty to bounce off other towers is a good things cause 90% of the cell phone companies run off 2 frequencys 1800mhz or a 1900 mhz, nextel phones use a 900 mhz frequency and is a private network so noone uses our towers and nextels dont roam on other providers.. so you can bounce and catch another cell tower and not loose signal, just hope they dont charge for roaming off another cell provider, most dont in this day but some OLDER rate plans still charge for it .. hope that kinda explains it... a lil bit...
