do you have a pressure switch? because if you dont you need a 2 position switch to turn on and off a compressor

pressure switch or gauge?
when my PS went out i also used a switch so i could manually turn it on and off. but having a gauge helps alot

yeah it does. it always good to have that back up switch incase the pressure switch goes out which happens from time to time. and the compressor will stay on or not come on what so ever.

how many amps is the switch you have on your compressor rated for? if you just have a cheapy switch to turn your compressor on and off then you will burn them up all day long. If you get one that is rated at like 50 amps or enough to handle what your compressor is drawing you should be fine
