advice

sup guys. i have a 94 chevy dually ext cab and im going to shaved the door handles and couple pf other things.. my question is to shave the door handles whats the best way to like put a piece of sheet metal over were the door handle sits... or cut like 1/8 around that lip so it has a flat edge...?alsop what gauge metal should i use? do i have to paint it by the inside? please help me in allthe steps pics will be great thanks

you should try to get it to sit flush with the door so you dont have a lot of body work to do and as far as sheet metal goes i would say b/w 16 and 18 gauge or what ever you door shell is probally better off with 16
