How do you guys get your axles straight on your trucks once you have taken them off? My last 4link had my axle going at an angle which caused problem so i took it all off and im redueing it so how can i make sure the wheel base is right and aligned with the front? Any ideas? thanks

measure your lengths on the frame and then use a plumbob to mark the center part on the axle

plumbobs makes great... I get the axle close by eye then measure from common points on the frame to the axle on both sides..then I cross measure from the common points to the other side of the axle..then I measure from frame to wheel or axle backing plate just to double check everything & to make sure its the same on both sides.....hope that helps ya ........

We did a budies Dakota the past few weeks and I marked where the axle was with the leafs on it with a plumb bob and then used those marks to mark where the axle should be front to back and side to side.

If I remember right wheel base on the king cab 720 is 110"(center of the front wheel to center of rear wheel) plus u could always sit the bed on the frame & line the axle up that way
