I am trying to convert my S-10 to rear disc with big brakes front and rear. Anyone know of a company that offers this?Im kinda S-10 stupid so anything would help. Thank you ,Ron
just get a rearend out of a newer s10 thats what i did
Those are drums also , arnt they. I am looking for aftermarket big brakes also....anyone know?
yea you can out bear brakes on an s10 they make a kit that just goes right on there but its also around 4,000 bucks my friend just did it this winter and its bad you you gotta basically have your stock front end and you have to make a bracket for your rear end for something i forget what it was but if you are really serious about doing it i can get everything for you
the newer blazers had rear disc, it would be a bolt in ordeal, and the 00+ had different spindles up front cause it uses a sealed wheel bearing and they also have dual piston brakes, so you could take the spindles and rearend and all brake stuff and it would all work for you man
for more info check out blazinlow.com or s10forum.com since you claim to be "s10 stupid"
you can go and get a rearend out of a trans am, they came stock with rear disc, they bolt right in the s10.. and id say theres a company out there somewhere that makes a big brake upgrade for a trans am
Stainless Steel Brakes makes a kit along with Baer as mentioned above. Their both around 3,000 for front and rear. The Baer is better looking though, drilled and slotted rotors.
i was looking on ebay there is a thing on there the seller sends you a template for the caliper bracket and then you get the rotors for the back of a blazer it was cheap he said you could do it fer less then 100 bucks
yeah the newer blazers have a disc brakes and i beleive that they are a little bit narrower.
just get the blazer rear-end. i was goin to do that until i found something better for a setup
