This is something I have always wondered about, as I have seen it done quite a bit. When you are at a show, windows down, or door opened....do you mind people dropping a business card/show flyer/artist (musician or whatever) flyer on your seat?
Is there a preferance between when it should and shouldn't be done? Only on passenger seat, only on driver seat? Just wondering what you guys think of this, and how it should be done, if at all. Probably not some rules or guidelines to follow, but just wondering what you guys feel is the right way to do it, and not bother the owner with it.

It pisses me off when people put shit on my car in parking lots. I can't see it being that cool at a show, thats not what I'm there for. Hand them to people if they want them.

I prefer that no one puts their business cars in my truck/car. I run an automotive related business, and thats not the way i would advertise. Its just a little forward.
Show flyers are fine, just try and drop em on the driver seat. It doesnt bother me, i keep a bulletin board at my shop with all the south east and local atlanta area shows on it for my customers to see.

Well, I am asking because a buddy of mine wanted me to drop a few cards at UNITE, but I didn't know how the majority of people felt about it. It's not a business, he is an up and coming artist (musician) in Florida. Just wondering what you guys thought.
I personally haven't shown anything, but I don't like the whole parking lot deal either. Just didn't know if the atmosphere of a show changed the thoughts on it.

I cant really say how i feel about that, because i never had a "Show worthy" car before, but i despise getting advertising crap on my car all the time lol

When I advertise for our show (Fire it UP 4/15/07 in Peoria AZ) I hand the flyer to the person. I feel it is more personal that way. If you just put the trash on their seat, you are not inviting the person. The show is about hanging out and having a good time, the trophies are just extras. DONT PUT ANYTHING IN OR ON THE VEHICLES.

Don't put crap in my ride. I spent alot of time cleaning it to make it look nice and I hate that I can't walk away for ten minutes without my stuff being cluttered with flyers.

I agree, it seems more personal if the person is willing to take the time and shake your hand and invite you to an event while giving you a flier. Way better then just dumping stuff all over the ride...After all most people either have a tent for shade or some chairs or something sitting close buy if they aren't at the ride drop them in a chair or something instead.Yet, it does bug me that in a corse of a weekend event you may have 10 differant guys walk up trying to sell you thier "album" rap cd that's burn onto a blank for 5-10 bucks. I usually tell them no thanks I don't listen to it, but it's still aggrovating

my truck looks pretty crappy but it would definitely irritate me if i found all kinds of shit in my truck after a show, thats why its a "truck show", not a "truck touch"
