anyone have pics of then 98+ rangers and how you got them layed out? This is when they went to coils I believe, did it change much as far as how difficult it is to lay out on the stock frame?
No pics...but to truly lay frame in the front you have to "z" it I have been told...I have DJM uppers and lowers to bring it a little lower and don't lay frame
But still much easier than those beams...

ITS UNDER THE FORD SECTION -- HOPE THAT HELPS !!!
that shows nothing but people arguing. No pics or anything hardly.
THERE IS PICS IN THAT THREAD -- AS WELL AS CHECK OUT THE MANY RANGER PROFILES ON HERE -THERE IS A ALOT OF PICS OUT THERE !!!
to lay out a ranger how 99.5% of the rest of them are you don't have to Z the frame. It will lay parts of the frame without a Z, and it will lay engine crossmember up front.
On a reg. cab truck this lean towards the back is pretty noticeable, but not nearly as much on an extended cab.
There's not much to it to make it lay crossmember.
Notch the frame for tie rods
Get DJM uppers and lowers with moog ball joints
Bag cups, you can fit a re7 with some trimming and an re6 with minimal trimming
pull all inner fenders
relocate or rotate your battery (depending on tire size)
Pull up the overflow tanks on the passenger side
Move up the fusebox (depending on tire size)
And get a raised tranny crossmember(most likely from 3rd Shift Customs)
That is the way I would do it. I've seen it done with factory ball joints, factory arms, no trimming for tie rods etc etc...
It all comes down to how much modifying you want to do vs. reliability.
