i droped my rear end after 1 day of haveing the truck on the road! i have a 4x4 rear diff for my mazda but the leaf springs mount to the top of the diff, not the bottem. what can i do?

Go buy some new spring perches and weld them on the bottom of the axle.

i did the opposite on my hopper, 2wd rear and put the mounts on top like a 4wd to get higher lift. what i did was cut the two welds on the half moon plate that the leaf spring perch is welded to. once i got it cut off, i put it in position on the to side of the axle(bottom side for you) and welded it back on. just make sure you get your pinion angle where it needs to be before you weld it.

You might want to check the gear ratio in the 4X diff... It is probably different and will make your engine rev to high on the freeway. You could also make flip kit perches out of box tube. I did to lift a Samurai a few years back.

well its a drag truck so im not to worried about the gears. today im pullin it out and prepin the new 4x4 for the new spring seats.

so ive droped out the hole diff and the gears are grinded right off!on top of that the 4x4 reard mazda diff wont fit. everything on it is too big.so tomorrow i have to go to a junk yard and get a new pumpkin
