First TAT

Going to get my first tattoo tomorrow and im nervous as hell... Any suggestions on calmin my nerves a lil.. I think im going to start with something small just a couple of nautical stars and eventually turn it into a sleeve.

Not trying to be rude, but I think that stars, tribal, etc...are just fads that probably will fade over time. Just like the cartoons in the early 90's were cool. I would get something that means something to you and that is cool, not something that is universal and everyone has. That's just my 2 cents though. And my advice, take it like a man haha there are plenty of women who get it, I'm sure u can hang.

MAKE SURE YOU EAT A DECENT SIZE MEAL FIRST. It will help keep your blood sugar from dropping while your getting the work done and it will hurt less.

who cares what he gets, besides he didnt ask what you thought about his choice of art piece, he asked if you had any suggestions as to calm him down.

dont worry man, its only scary for the first minute or so. if you can get your hands on a couple pain killers to lossen you up and calm you down that wouldnt hurt, i reccomend em anytime you get tatted.

Pain meds are fine as long as they are not blood thinners as well.

for the nerves, its all mental. The pain killer idea is a good one too. lol . usally they will run a small line just so you get the feeling. depending where it is depends on the pain. someone dont even feel it, others are babies..

if you like what you have in mind for a tat, get it... but kinda what the other guy said, tats are about as perminant as you can get. so make sure you know what you want, the artist is good, and take care of them once you get them...

Not sure what to tell ya about calming you down... But, i would think about maybe just going for the sleeve. It'll look a lot better if its all planned out at once instead of doing a little now and then having to work around art you already had done. Like you might decide that in your sleeve you wished something went in front of the stars but since they are already there it could be harder. Anyways good luck with your tat.

i have a star tattoo. i have kanji tattoo. and i love them both. they may be fads but they still remember everything happening in my life around each tattoo. get what you want. fuck everyone else. its almost like minitrucks... if you want to get lambo doors and 38" rims go for it.

as for preperations... just remeber pain is shit. never really hurt me... but thats me.

screw pain meds lol. take it like a man. the pain is all in the process of gettin tattooed.
