Anyone got some cool tips on how to remove a sheared off tap without using heat? I've tried hitting it with a punch but theres not enough room to swing the hammer more than 1/2" in any direction. And theres no way to swing a hammer down on it to punch it through and go up one size. Unless I find a 3 foot punch with a 1/4" tip.

snap-on makes a tool just for removing broken taps.

Okay I guess I don't know how EZ outs work? I thought I had some. Isn't it the funk reverse threaded bolt kind of?

I ended up getting them out, but left a sweet ass hole in the frame. So I tappped right next to it and the grounds cover it up.

you drill out the center of the bolt, and hook the ez-out to the drill and it pulls it out (left handed drill bit)

Okay yeah, I do have some of those. But have you ever tried to drill out a tap? It doesnt work. I've used those on bolts before, but it doesnt work on a hardened tap thats got fingers off the sides. You can drill them.
