99 s10, 20's, stock a/c, bodydrop?

Can it be done? If so, is there any shope out there that can build the box for me? I have limited welding skills, next to no metalshaping skills, but i could tweak one if someone could build it for me. Any suggestions?

to keep AC on an s10 with 20's and a bodydrop you'll want to relocate the shit that's on the firewall to behind the dash. Vintage Air makes kits to do it $$$$, or you could yank the stuff out of a fullsize at the junkyard and install it behind the dash.

matt, will the blower and stuff from a fullsize work? I'd think it would, but no one has been able to tell me. I really want to avoid dropping $1k on a hot rod air setup (that's what it'll be with tax, shipping, and all). My dash is coming off in the next couple days, what all do i need from the fullsize? Do i have to get the hvac controls and all? Or just the big blower box and stuff from behind the dash of the fullsize?

i have seend it done ....along with you can move the cab back to give yourself the clearance you need for the wheels and the blower motor in the stock location...plus it centers up your front wheels.....check out s10 forum ...i am sure there is a topic on how to mod/build a blower box for your situation

Im fooling with the idea at the moment, of putting the blower on the side of the firewall behind the fender

There is, but the box he made won't work with the bodydrop. And a lot of the people on s10forum have been asses and not much help. I used to go to mys10.com a lot, but since Neil sold it to s10v8.com, it's sucked. So i stick to ssm.com for my info.

I will be running a 27" diameter tire (about a small 20 size) on my stock floor s10 and plan to keep heat and AC, although I wont be doing it with box mods. Instead I have the HVAC out of a 1990 RX7 which is compact and will fit behind the dash panel, replacing the standard heater core and air distribution.
