My systems giving me problems

I just put in my 12s and my 1000 watt sony and when its really hittin it fucks with my rpms a little. Wether its hitting hard or just a little my lights dim, should I upgrade my altenator?

Up grade the altenator & check the condition of the battery, run has large of battery as will fit the location!!Yellow tops are great,good price at Sears!Also they will check the system!!

An alternator will help but you might want to try runnin an yellow top optima or a capacitor first before runnin a higher output alternator to see if those take care of the problem first.

Yeah I was thinking about a cap. I just wasnt sure because its fucking with the rpms too not just my lights.

If your alternator can't keep up with charging the battery to run your amp and truck at the same time, how is it gonna charge the battery AND cap?

Have you upgraded any of the other wiring for the charging system? I would do that if you haven't, then think about a new alternator.

well I suggested adding a cap before upgrading you alt. mostly because your alternator my not be the problem, you may have a battery that is going bad, so to make everyone happy I guess I should of said, why don
