need help with a ranger

ok put'n a ranger back together and now the fuel pump is not kick'n on. its been moved and the wires have been streched so i'm wondering wich wires are sapossed to be hot when the key is on. i have one get'n power but only a lil so any help would be great guys

check yoru emergency fuel shut off switch. Its located under the carpet under the dash on the passenger side. But there should be 4 wires, and 2 aer positive and 2 are negative. so its hard to get them confused.

one wire gets power when the key is just turned on. Its to prime the fuel. The other wire gets power when the whole truck gets turned on. I dont remember what colors they are. But Id check the fuel pump shut off switch first if your not getting any fuel.

CHECK YOUR (INERTIA SWITCH) --- IT BEHIND THE KICK PANEL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE --- SIMPLY PRESS IT BACK IN AND THEN YOU SHOULD BE COULD TO GO -- ITS A FORM OF A SAFETY SWITCH WHICH CUTS YOUR FUEL OFF --- HOPE THAT HELPS !!!
