Yeah, if I ever get to bodywork. It was supposed to be at bodywork at the beginning of the month. All this smog BS got in the way.

I got a Holley regulator, and set it to 1 PSI. Still dumps fuel like a waterfall. No idea..

seth i mean inturnally in the carburetor there should be idel passage so when you did the rebuild how well did you clean the passages? cause usally when those are closed with stuff it will do that just dump fuel down and it sounds like it is a tank when it runs?

I cleaned the shit out of everything with carb cleaner and an air nozzle.

It actually runs really well. It runs better now that the water choke is workign properly. I don't have to warm it up myself it will do it on its own now. Lol. It just won't pass smog.

I'm by no way a mechanice but couldn't crimp the fuel line and try and restrict the gas flow. I know it sounds kind of ghetto but if it passes you it would be just temporary.

Thats what the fuel regulator does essentially, just less ghetto. I might try a new fuel pump, since they're only like $15. But I don't see how a mechanical fuel pump could pump too much fuel..

seth have you checked your float level to make sure its not lettign in too much fuel?
have you changed it? cause if it gets saturated in fuell they can get heavy and sink in the bowl and make the carb think it needs fuel and constantly fill. witch would cause it to spill out into the intake.
it happened on mine when i first got my 72. i changed the float and adjusted it to factory spec. made a big difference.

I put a new float in it during the rebuild, and adjusted it to factory specs.
