I have airlift 2500 i think when I was taking the bag off my truck I unscrewed the fitting that screws into the bag. I got more then just the fitting out I got all the threads with it. It looks like the threads are pressed into the bag is there a way to fix this bag without buyng anew bag.

I'd just buy a new one.

AIRLIFT IS PRETTY GOOD ABOUT REPLACING BROKE BAGS

I think those have the plastic tops right?

I guess one thing you could try doing is tapping it out to 5/8 then use couplings to step it down...

I really dont know how good of an idea this is though

I had the same thing happen. You just have to replace the bag.

If it is the plastic top ones, I think they are Ultrasonic/Heat Staking PEM Inserts. You probably can't fix it (I don't know what tools you have, but it's unlikely you have the right tools to fix it).

Thanks everyone, I'm going to buy slam next I think I have heard a lot of good things about them. The airlift came with my S-10 kit from suicide so I just kept the same out back.

airlift needs to come out with a new bag design. the crimp rings and pressed in threads are getting them nowhere fast. yes they are good about replacing their product (if you talk to the right people there) but I no longer recommend them to anyone. They are the only brand of bag thats ever given us problems.
