HEY GUYS A LOT OF YOU HAVE YOUR DASH GLASSED AND DOORS AND PANNELS HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE.I'VE GOT A QOUTE FROM DA GUYS WHO PAINTED MY TRUCK OF 1100 BUCKS, BUT THEY ARE USING PUDDY I HEARD ITS GOOD IF YOUR TRUCK IS NOT A DAILY DRIVER AND IT DOESN'T SIT IN DA SUN ALL DA TIME,AND I KNOW REAL GLASS IS DA WAY TO GO....SO IF YOU KNOW WHAT PRICE RANGE I SHOULD EXPECT AND THE TIME LENGHT IT WILL TAKE HOLLA ATCHA BRO!!!
what parts do u want gla$$ed? price will always vary depending on what you want built and how ellaberate the design.
JUST DA WHOLE DASH, DOORS,AND PILLARS
if you want the "glassed" look without any modifications done to them you can sand them down to 2000, high build primer - sand again then paint.
Honestly that sounds a bit low to me. And I'm not a bodyman but I wouldn't want it done with puddy, I would go glass for sure, just sounds more durable.
Does that kind of fiberglass work hold up to daily use? Ive seen alot of door panels that crack with use. I think it has to do with the vibrations and ppundings that they get from every day use.
If it's done right it should hold up for a long time if not forever.
gla$$ work most always uses body filler. whether gla$$ is laid depends on the person doing the work. see how something is built is with a wood framing setup with fleece wrapped over it to give it its shape, then fibergla$$ resin is brushed onto the fleece and let to cure. after thats done for door panels you dont NEED to have gla$$. kitty hair body filler is plenty strong enough. dashes are the same. now laying fibergla$$ will definately make the product a lot stronger and more durrable but is not always needed. sub enclosers are completely different. if multiple layers of gla$$ are not used the encloser will collapse.
ive always used the liquid glass and then go over it with light weight never had no problems
