ps2 stopped workin

my ps2 stopped workin the otherday its never been dropped or hit or anything. same thign happened with my bro in laws but his was dropped liek a foot the cd just doesnt spin anymore anyoen else have this problem

sony has an internal clock inside the ps2 that was programmed to self destruct the ps2 as soon as the ps3 came out so you would go buy one
